Frantoi Cutrera is one of Sicily’s most respected olive oil producers, family‑run since 1906 and rooted in the island’s southeastern countryside. Now led by Salvatore Cutrera and the sixth generation, the estate is both grower and miller, with a singular focus on varietal expression, careful land stewardship, and freshness. Olives are harvested early and milled immediately at their state‑of‑the‑art frantoio, capturing the true character of Sicily in every bottle.
Primo DOP is Frantoi Cutrera’s flagship oil and a benchmark for Sicilian PDO excellence. It was the first olive oil to receive DOP Monti Iblei certification, and it remains one of the most consistently decorated DOP oils in the world.
This oil is a true monovarietal, produced from 100% Tonda Iblea olives, an indigenous cultivar of the Monti Iblei renowned for its unmistakable tomato‑forward character. Olives are harvested early from DOP‑certified groves and cold‑extracted within hours to preserve freshness, structure, and aromatic intensity.
