Handcrafted in house at Andiamo Market, this bird’s eye maple and purpleheart charcuterie board is designed to celebrate both craftsmanship and naturally striking hardwoods. Each board is made from carefully selected solid woods, chosen not only for durability but for their distinctive visual character.
Bird’s eye maple is prized for its rare, naturally occurring figure—small, swirling “eyes” that appear across the surface of the wood. This unique pattern occurs randomly and cannot be replicated, making every board one of a kind. Known for its light color and subtle shimmer, bird’s eye maple adds elegance, movement, and understated sophistication to the piece.
Contrasting beautifully with the maple, purpleheart offers deep, rich color and bold definition. Naturally vibrant and dramatic, purpleheart darkens gently over time, developing a refined, jewel‑like tone that adds depth and visual balance. Its strength and density also make it an excellent accent wood for long‑lasting performance.
Finished with our natural, food‑grade oil and board butter, the board is gently protected while allowing the natural grain, color, and figure of both woods to remain front and center. Designed primarily for serving, this board is ideal for cheeses, cured meats, fruits, and small bites—perfect for entertaining, gifting, or display.
